San Jose, CA - Kycon Inc. announces the release of the SMT modular jacks with integrated magnetics designed for high-speed data applications: the GMI series. This RJ45 style jack is available with different filtering packages to accommodate the various chipsets commonly found in 10/100 Base T applications. With the required transformers, chokes, capacitors, and termination resistors installed within the connector, the GMI series offers improved reliability and electrical performance over traditional design options using separate components. This SMT connector which combines the RJ45 connector and magnetics for Ethernet applications, is currently only available in single port designs. Conforms to IEEE 802.3 standard.
