San Jose, CA – Kycon has broadened its line of mini-DIN connectors with the introduction of the KMDR-series for the audio, video, computer, and digital equipment markets.

The height and the width of the KMDR has each been reduced by 23%, and the footprint area has been reduced by 25%. This major reduction in the overall size of the mini-DIN makes it ideal for portable computers where board space and panel size are at a premium.

The body is made from PBT thermoplastic and the shield is tin plated steel. Contacts are gold plated with tin/lead on termination. The standard pin layout is available in 4 and 6 contact counts, and the GEO-port in 7 and 9 contact counts
